(almost) off to the races

The end of winter is creeping up on us, fields are emerging from the snow, and however unceremoniously, mud season begins! Our hoophouse is filling up with greens for spring, and our newly installed sprinklers should keep everything growing happily once it warms up a little more. Once the ground thaws enough, we'll start driving ground posts for our new seedling greenhouse, and then the 2018 season will truly be under way.

 Spring spinach on the way!

Spring spinach on the way!

For most of the winter, things have been relatively quiet. Much of our time is spent grading, cleaning and packaging dry beans for our day job at Baer's Best Beans.  Aside from that, we're still selling roots from our winter storage supply, and are starting to tackle the aforementioned greenhouse projects. We've also been wrapped up with things like buying seeds, purchasing supplies, and planning. But soon, planning time will be over, and it will be time to put the plan to the test!
